From Jalan Tun Sambanthan 3 to Jalan 20/146 Sg Besi KL

I have no clear idea when was the very first time i made a complain to the government on the interest of RAKYAT. When i was in University Malaya as a undergraduate as usual i complain many things. There was a instant progress from my complain. It is all about breaking library's wall for renovation purpose during exam time. They stop it when my reasoning was plausible.

I have been writing many complains to government bodies and the progress is generally slow. The last complain i made was about a drain at Jalan Tun Sambanthan 3, Brickfields. During havy rain in December 2006 a drain facing to Jalan Tun Sambanthan 3 had collapsed. The stall owners along the road complaint to DBKL. DBKL did not take any action.

In April and June 2007 i wrote letters to DBKL and Health Ministry saying the drain had collapse and it cause problems to the shop owners as the waste water doesn't move. I called DBKL and Health Ministry few times according to Health ministry the problem ought be solve by DBKL. DBKL said pegawai pergi kursus. After a month i call DBKL they said the matter has been forward to higher authority but there wasn't any progress. I had a meeting with the shop owners to send a memorandum to the government pertaining the drain problem but the shop owners stoped me worrying their rice bowl will be in jeopardy i.e DBKL would confiscate their shop licence.

After that i was busy with other RAKYATS' problem and was waiting for election. During election time the shop owners' went to see BN candidate for Bukit Bintang constituency. But he was so busy and he lost in March 8 2008 election.

In June 2008, i started the old issue with new spirit. Telling to myself things will never change unless I change it. This time i was very aggressive i call Dato Palanivel (MIC Deputy President), Dato Dr Subramaniam - BN Segamat, The new MP for Bukit Bintang YB Fong Kui Lun (DAP), YB Dewamani (MP for Cameron Highland - BN)and Dato Saravanan Murugan - MP for Tapah, BN. Dato Palanivel responded via SMS and Dato Saravanan answered my call.

Dato Palanivel and Dato Saravanan asked me to refer to Mr Pabja Moorty at MIC building. He refer me to DBKL. At DBKL Ms Tan direct me to Mr Richard (engineer) he called me and assured that the problem will be solve. As he Mr Richard said on July second week 2008 DBKL's contractor started their work at the drain site and the work is still on progress.

The wisdom of this story is things will never change unless you take a initiative to change it. If you want to see difference, you have to work for it.

If you have a time please visit Jalan Tun Sambanthan 3 for visit Brickfields week.

Jalan 20/146 Sg Besi KL.... will be reported tomorrow onward
